On this day 18 years ago, the universe blessed me with my very own built in best friend!
Julia and I met not long after we were born, but we were living in different states at the time. When I was 2, I moved to my house in Mars, 4 minutes away from Julias house, and as you can tell the rest is history.
From our first dance recital, to the day i got my first puppy, to the day she got hers, to our first day of preschool, and our first day of kindergarten… Julia was always right by my side.
Fast forward to today, we’ve watched each other grow and evolve through friendships, relationships, and even heartbreaks. As each one comes and goes, we always turn to each other at the end of the day for the love, honesty, and support we know we can always find within one another; our better halves.
I’ve watched Julia conquer so many silent battles while still carrying herself with so much grace and beauty towards the outside world. Julia is the sweetest girl you’ll ever meet and you wouldn’t know that she is such a great force to be reckoned with because of how delicately she carries herself, but she holds so much power.
I admire Julia because she does everything through love and always sees the best in everyone she crosses paths with. She treats all of her friends like royalty and goes above and beyond to make the people around her happy.
She’s the most determined, intelligent friend I have. She has proven time and time again she can accomplish anything she puts her mind to.
If i could shrink Julia and bring her with me everywhere i go, i would. Having Julia by my side has single-handedly been the greatest blessing I’ve received in my life.
If I was told I had to rank me and Julias memories together, I don’t think I would be able to. Zip lining across mountain valleys in Colorado and driving aimlessly listening to Taylor swift are both equally as fun to me since I’m with Julia.
So Julia,
Thank you for all that you do, and more importantly, thank you for just being you.
You are the sunshine of my life and everyone else’s.
You are lovable and unique. You know exactly how to make someone laugh without even meaning to and there’s never a boring moment when I’m with you.
Thank you for being there when times get challenging and thank you for believing in me when I can’t find the strength to believe in myself.
